I'm still rather quiet lately because this longer project is all I think about (which is good, that's the best mindset for me when writing longer stories). Funny, I was eager to write some Bibi/Urs to complete the trio set (I've written Bibi/Eva/Urs, Eva/Urs and Bibi/Eva so of all the combinations with those three that's what's missing) and it's somehow developed into a kind of all-encompassing Garvey epic (by my standards) at ninety-three pages and counting. How did we get here??

It's going well, though. The prose itself will need some polishing but then I'm aware that my Bad Sisters fics have a very different tone to my Warrior Nun ones -- owing to the individual canons themselves, I'd say. There's a text I wrote about just that sitting in one of my notebooks until I can type it up and post it here but, as mentioned before, there are simply not enough spoons to go around. Hell, I had an idea for this week's femslashfete prompt and I'm having to let it go due to being so completely immersed in my current Bibi/Urs thing -- and that's when the idea itself is for the same ship!

There's just one tiny little thing I wanted to get done before diving back into the story and that has to do with playlists. I often but not always find some sort of theme song for what I'm working on but as I listened to the 80s80s Depeche Mode radio (huge DM fan that I am) the other day while making lunch, I was hit over the head with a song I have loved since always and only now noticed what potential it has here... Can I say "official garveycest theme song"? Because right now that's what I think of when Here Is the House starts playing.

And that reminded me of the fact that I never actually wrote down the tracklists I selected for If the truth is waiting for us or Solfège and maybe that would be a good idea in case Youtube ever decides to implode all of a sudden, if only to be able to recreate the thing later somehow. So here they are:

All of this to say I might or might not be gathering some Depeche Mode songs only for a random garveycest-themed playlist sometime, lol. Here Is the House and Never Let Me Go have been speaking to me in the context of this fic; Halo is another strong contender, though Halo is ALWAYS a strong contender when it comes to me and my ships. Who knows... :) In the meantime, I'll be writing!
