I made these at the very very last minute, because I had zero inspiration for the themes and very little creative enthusiasm lately. But this great entry by bowlerhat_girl changed my mind and got my creative juices flowing. Thank you very much! Though seeing that these aren't very good, you can even thank her or blame it on her. ;)

I experimented a lot here, mostly with textures, coloring and lighting, so don't expect any consistency in this set, and most of these are really bad, but I like two very much, so I'm submitting them anyways.

Also, I used German for foreign language just because honestly I had no other idea. It just means what Aeryn says in the scene: 'You want a pillow?'.

Oh, and blame the idea for slash on vinegar_dog, she used the image on a challenge and I just LOVED it. LOL

Well, it was your entry that inspired me to try and play around with textures a little more, so really I thank you. :D

Yep, that's a scary pairing. :D

And cat5 (which is actually cat4 now, I realized that I put them in the wrong order in my haste to post them) was the one that took me longest, that was a real pain in the butt and I just was NOT able to make it look good, which is why I ended up cropping half the face out. So I'm really glad you like it. :D

OMG, I'm so sorry I forgot to comment earlier. For the last two weeks I've been super busy programming, but yesterday I finally got it completed (well, one of the projects... I still have two! :p) so I'm trying to catch up online.

I have no idea how you did these in such a short time, but I'm so glad you did. I can definitely see the light texture inspiration in these and I love how you've experimented with them. I think it works especially well in ACs 1 and 2 and Cat2, which are among my favorites anyway. The contrast on AC1 is perfect and the image is so clear and sharpened just right. The same goes for Cat2.

I LOVE HOW CREEPY YOUR SLASH IS :D I would have never even thought of that, now I can't unsee, lol! I really like the way you've spun that light texture(?) around them, gives the icon even more dynamic feel.

Others I like very much are Number and White - Number is your best text icon by far, I love how the colors of the text blend with the rest of the image, the font is great and so is the rotation and it's in a nice place. I also like the contrast of the icon, it fits this icon perfectly making the characters clear and the colors vibrant. And white, well, it works for me as well as any white icon could (I have issues with pure white and black okay? :D), I love how monochromatic it looks and it looks nicely sharp.

Also much love for the two Scorpies. ♥ He looks so good on that throne of his ;)

But hey, I think I'm forgetting something. Oh right, my favorite icon here. Item! It's INGENIOUS. It's something new and fresh and unexpected and innovative. The b&w+red looks awesome and the grunginess works awesomely. I also love that hand-drawn cross, it's original and interesting. I just love the whole general look and feel of this icon.

As for any concrit, I think some of your base images don't look HQ to me. And that's not your fault or anything you've done in the iconing process, it must be the original base image. Some of them look perfect, like Number, Foreign Language, White, Cat2 and AC1, but some look quite blurry, like Cat1. So my only advice for that is to either sharpen the icon with one of the sharpening filters or (much more recommended) use the caps at farscapecaps.com, which are the best ones available (unless you count the blu-ray caps for the first five eps, those are your treasure if you want to icon the beginning of s1 :) ). Anyway browsing isn't that much of a work and it's very much worth it! ^^

Anyway lovely work, especially the stunner that is Item. Can't wait to see more! (Can I ask which ones are the 2 that you yourself liked? I'm curious! :D)

LOVE Slash, too funny! Item is really imaginative, and Cat 4 is beautiful. I love your coloring on all the Cat and AC icons - so soft and dreamy and pretty.
